WelcomeWe are now half way through our Centenary Season and so far it has been a great success. All of our scheduled events have been very well attended and greatly enjoyed by all. The Hickory Day, our Civic Reception, the Centenary Dinner Dance, the Centenary Flag Raising and just recently our Centenary Pro Am have been fun days and events that has seen the course and clubhouse packed to the rafters with members making the most of the festival atmosphere, and rightly so. And its not finished yet with the return matches with Duff House Royal and Blairbeth still to come, the Invitation Greensome, our Centenary Week Celebrations and of course our Centenary Dinner in September. So please keep it going and make sure you get your name put forward early for all of these events. I would also like you to endeavour to get your Centenary Raffle Tickets back to us as soon as possible. It’s been a great year for the club so far and we have much to be thankful for. The hard work of the Centenary Committee has provided us with all of these events and a budget that enables many of them to be subsidised by the club. We should be thankful also for the wonderful condition of the course and how it has been presented to the members throughout the year by the new Greens Committee and the Green Staff. Truly the best Kirkhill has ever been and the word is spreading as more and more new members are joining us. And of course a big thank you to our talented juniors, who keep exceeding all expectations, and have been successful in winning so far The Baxter Trophy (Scott Costello), The Faldo Challenge (Craig Ross) and congratulations to young James Stevenson for winning his first Scottish Cap. Best Wishes, John McNulty (Captain) |
